A very nice Handlan Mfg. Co. lantern with lots of tin from the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. It comes with a strong clear cast "D&RG" 5 3/8" tall melon globe in excellent condition. On the other side, it is cast "Safety First". There are no rim chips or flakes. The Handlan font and burner are in excellent solid condition with no pin holes. It is embossed on the top with patent dates, the last being "3-2-09." The frame is very solid and straight with all tin. There are a couple of minor dings on the top lid. This will be a nice addition to your Colorado Railroadiana collection!
