A very nice Denver & Rio Grande Western short globe lantern that is all original. The Adlake-Kero #250 lantern frame is in excellent condition with lots of original tin. It has been cleaned of dirt and oil, then hand polished with a cotton cloth. It is embossed on the top lid "The Adams & Westlake Co., New York, Chicago, D&RGWRR, Adlake No. 250 Kero" with the patent dates on the bottom portion of the dome. The lantern has an Adlake 300 pot & burner that is in excellent condition, all tin. The 3 1/4" tall clear globe is etched "D&RGWRR" and cast "Adlake Kero" above that. The globe is also etched on the other side "Safety First," then cast "MacBeth" above the etching. The top and bottom rims of the globe are in excellent condition, with no chips. The frame measures 9 1/4" tall without the bail. Here is one Colorado railroad lantern that is a must for your collection, so don't miss out.......it is sure to please!
