Item #: 5067 A harder-to-find piece of Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad china that is sure to please. This demitasse (after dinner) coffee cup and saucer are in the Prospector pattern, with blue pinstriping and the "Rio Grande" speed logo. The saucer is back stamped "Old Ivory, Syracuse China, O.P.Co.", with the date code "U7" for 1940. The cup is not bottom marked.Both the cup and the saucer are in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, or hairlines.There are two factory under the glaze kiln marks on the backside of the saucer from when being made, which is common to see. The saucer is 4 9/16" in diameter, and the cup is 2 3/8" tall. Prospector pattern pieces are starting to become more and more collectible.
