A nice piece of Colorado railroad history. This is a thick solid brass rectangle baggage tag with the original leather strap, still in very good condition. It is impressed "Rio Grande Lines, Denver, Colo.". It was manufactured by Sachs Lawlor M. & M. Co., which is engraved at the bottom front of the tag. The back has rolled edges, made to insert the passenger's baggage information. The baggage tag has great patina, and has not been cleaned. The baggage tag is 2 1/8" wide, 2 3/4" long. The strap is 9" long. A very collectible Rio Grande Railroad ephemera!
